Laura joined the lab as a post doctoral fellow after completing her graduate work in the lab of Arnold Kriegstein and carried out genomic and proteomic studies of the chromatin switch from npBAF to nBAF in the development of the nervous system. She also developed an efficient method of purifying neural progenitors and post mitotic neurons for genomic studies before deciding to take a position with a consulting firm in San Francisco.
